Fotograma's logomark is a rustic drawing of nature made by chalk-like pencil on a photogram frame. The frame is an relatively obvious choice for the logo and its clear direct solid-border style is a symbol of the photo technology, and at the same time is a reminder of the millimetric science that is photography. The chalk-like style drawing inside the frame makes the contrast with the "right" and solid form of the frame itself (at the same time being supported by it) and also symbolizes the environment in its natural, rural meaning. The drawing drafts the head of a alligator partly hidden in the water, but it can also be seen as a mountain or another form of nature, that is the theme of choice of Fotograma.

The animated logo is an exclusive media for the site. It emphasizes the artistic aspect of the photography and magnify the quality of light and color. Plus, we add meaning to the superior and inferior parts of the logo, which are more clearly symbolized as "mountain" (green) and "sunlight" (yellow), an evident choice because of the brazilian national colors. The animated logo also means movement and dynamism to the site.

The typographic part of the logo just fortifies the qualities of the image logo. The chosen truetype non-serif font is perfect because is lightly thick and it has an ideal lineation (with harmonic round and straight borders) which again is in symbiosis with the photogram frame.

Fotograma is a direct and autonomous name, but it also contains the substantives that are the heart of this project - FOTOGRAfia (portuguese for Photography) and Meio Ambiente (portuguese for Natural Environment). The name was created by Daniel De Granville.
