OLHO D’AGUA RIVER
Bodoquena Plateau - Mato Grosso do Sul – Brazil
Due to the region’s geological formation, associated with the fact that the environment is being very well conserved, the horizontal visibility in this river can reach almost 50 meters (164 ft) and the fauna is abundant. It is entirely comprised by the Cabeceira do Prata Private Nature Reserve, being open to visitors in a carefully controlled manner.
“SUBMERGED GARDENS OF BODOQUENA”
Besides the animal diversity, the flora in the Bodoqeuna Plateau is also varied and fascinating, with more than sixty catalogued species. The title of this picture was inspired by the name of a book about aquatic plants published in 1999 by various researchers of Mato Grosso do Sul State (Brazil).
